Zionist Aggression on Iran and the Kurdish Question

As the Epsteined coalition wages a war of aggression on Iran, many bad actors are misleading the Western Left on the concept of Kurdish self-determination. This is to pave the way for Kurdish forces to join the war on the US-Israeili side at a later date, when the Islamic Republic of Iran is sufficiently weakened.

The US-Israeli entity wants to establish Zionist domination over the whole Middle East. In the region, all Gulf family dictatorships, Turkey, Egypt, “New” Syria, Jordan and Azerbaijan all collaborate with the Zionist dominated Western powers. Only Iran refuses to be subordinated and stands for the oppressed people of West Asia.

As most in the West are still victims of major intelligence and propaganda campaigns in Iran like the one this January 2026 or that of September 2022, they are not clued in about conditions on the ground. The favoured Western narrative of eternal Kurdish victimhood in every country, and years of distorted Islamophobic narratives about the nature of the Iranian state have also contributed to these misunderstandings.

Recently, five Kurdish groups came together to form a political coalition. Those normally fighting and competing with each other have come together for Zionist objectives. These include KHABAT, PAK (Kurdistan Freedom Party), PJAK (the Iranian wing of the PKK), Komala, and PDK, the Government party in Iraqi Kurdistan. Their cement is not shared values, their cement is weapons and money from US-Israeili intellegence.

The concept of “Kurdish self-determination” used by these bad actors gives the impression that Iranian Kurdistan, the area known as Rojhelat, is a historically constituted, homogenous community of people. Even these five organisations fight against each other, because Kurdish tribes are not homogenous, linguistically, culturally, religiously or even in their national allegiance.

In Rojhelat, the biggest city is Kermanshah. The dominant religion is Shia. This Shia majority consider themselves Feyli Kurds, i.e. Iranian Kurds. Kurdish people are very close to Persian civilisation historically. Sunni Kurds like Hussein Yazdanpanah of PAK are receiving Western support to invade from Iraq and take this city.

In Kermanshah province, the Kalhor are the biggest Kurdish tribe, the majority of this tribe is Shia, most of the remainder being a Yarsan, a religious minority of which there are 3 million of in Iran. The total religious makeup of Kermanshah is 70-80% Shia, 10-20% Sunni, and 5-10% Yarsan. If a minority of Sunni Kurdish warlords took control of Kermanshah with Zionist support, this would violate the consent of the vast majority of people there.

KHABAT (National and Islamic Struggle of Iranian Kurdistan) is a Sunni fundamentalist group as part of this coalition, led by Baba Sheikh Hosseini. Are we to believe that these Sunni Sheikhs affiliated with Mossad will bring democracy to a land where all religious minorities are protected? To a land that’s population, whether they be be Kurds, Assyrians, Lurs, Armenians are part of the Iranian nation?

Historically these Kurdish tribes are divided and there is no possibility to put all of them together as a national political entity. PJAK have fought KDP historically and will fight each other again when this contrived artificial coalition falls apart. Neither KDP, PJAK or any other Kurdish groups invading from Iraq have any legitimacy in Kermanshah. It will be Feyli Kurds that will fight these traitors to the whole region, not necessarily Persian Iranians.

KHABAT openly collabotate with MEK, who supported Iraq’s western sponsored war of aggression on Iran under Saddam Hussein. They are direct Mossad sponsors. How will anyone in Iranian society, Kurdish or otherwise accept such traitors as legitimate authorities? These Kurds collaborate with the same imperialist forces that sponsored Saddam Hussein when he killed thousands of Kurds with chemical weapons.

PAK and KHABAT are eager to attack Iran now, while the other groups are more reluctant to enter the war until Iran is sufficiently weakened. This is because the Iranians made clear from the outset that all countries that help the US-Israeili entity will become legitimate targets. The strikes on US assets in Erbil, UAE Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus and beyond show that they are not joking, and these forces fear retaliation by the Iranians in cities in Iraqi Kurduistan.

The Greater Israel project is a brutalisation and balkanisation project. We have seen how this plays out in Lybia, Syria and Iraq. Permanent chaos, division and instability is the goal of the Zionist entity. All big states in the region which can counteract the power of this entity have to be destroyed. Hunger and underdevelopment must be imposed on the peoples in the region. When illegal sanctions cannot accomplish this alone, Western liberalism reveals its Zionist fangs and genocidal wars will suffice.

Iranian and Kurdish futures cannot be decided from the tables of these Epsteined war rooms. We urge all Kurdish comrades and others to rapidly distance themselves from this Zionist coalition of warlords. People of the region should work hard to resolve their own problems without internal contradictions being seized on by the imperialist enemy. If, in the name of “self-determination”, one collaborates with barbaric colonial forces which take pleasure from the mass killing of children, this will not be forgotten by the indigenous people of the whole region.
